Dr. Fatimah M. Arshad
Director of Institute of Agricultural and Food Policy Studies, Putra University of Malaysia
Fatimah is a Professor of Agricultural Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Management, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and currently, she is the Head of Bioresource and Environmental Policy Laboratory at the Institut Kajian Dasar Pertanian dan Makanan (or Agricultural and Food Policy Studies Institute), UPM. Her specialization is in the field of agricultural marketing. She has carried out research covering themes on food security, agricultural marketing and supply chain, price analysis, structure-conduct-performance and agricultural policy analysis. She has received research grants from various sources. International sources include: International Development Research Centre (IDRC, Canada), Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), The International Center for Living and Aquatic Resources Management (ICLARM) (Manila), Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA), Tropical Fruit Network (TFNet), Instituto de Estudos do Comercio e Negociacoes Internacionais (ICONE), Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) and Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA).
