Prof. Dr. Sarfraz Khan is currently Director, Area Study Centre (Central Asia), University of Peshawar, Peshawar, Pakistan. Born on 14 March 1958, he graduated from University of Punjab, Lahore and Peoples Friendship University, Moscow, in 1980s. He completed his Masters in Philosophy from University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 1983. He wrote his doctoral dissertation ‘The Development of Muslim Reformist (Jadid) Political Thought’, at SOAS, University of London, UK. He remained a Commonwealth Scholar 1991-1998.
